I
agree with Asyssa, it's great to read about all of the reasons that so many
people love his music. The first time I heard Dave was on his video for Babylon
about 3 years ago. It caught my ear instantly and since then I've bought every
cd released, a few from Europe before they were released in the states because I
simply couldn't wait to hear what he had to say and how he felt to say it. Not
only do all of the lyrics in his songs relate to every part of my personality,
but what a picture he can paint with his voice alone! Even if you spoke a
different language and couldn't understand the words, they way he presents his
songs - the tone of his voice, the look on his face, and together with Clune,
Tim and Rob, he is just absolutely brilliant. Meeting him on his most recent US
tour topped it off for me as well. He was so down to earth and eager to meet
us; it just goes to show that he truly loves it all! I can't go a day without
listening to him, can't get enough of David Gray!!
Cheers!

It is absolutely wild to read the responses people have given for why they love David's music and in doing so to become reminded of my own feelings for it. In this world where we're bombarded by an onslaught of messages telling us what we should believe and how we should act (mixed together with the hypocracy, fear, and anger that surrounds us) I know that, for me, listening to DG's music is one way of finding shelter from the storm. He expresses what I think we all strive for and need to express in our own lives-integrity and hope, courage and endurance-to take a stand somewhere because it absolutely matters. Watching him live was terrific because of his passion, fire and the absolute dedication of all the band members to putting on such a technically flawless, brilliant show. His music is delicious and it brings me joy to know it.

It all started with that fateful SNL episode 14 months ago...since then, an obsession has grown inside me with Dave's music. It is catchy, it's heartfelt, it's beautiful, and it perfectly fits my life. I knew from the moment I heard that first note of 'Babylon' that this was what I would be listening to forever. From 'Shine' to 'Freedom', I can't get enough of Dave Gray.

I would like to say that David has left a great mark on all of us to come. I have been a fan since
I was 14 and I am now 16. I even got my parents into him. The best thing about his music is that you can relate to everything he says. He sets the love thing straight without doubt. Every pain, every hurt, or misunderstanding in this world he has brought about in his music. The beauty of his music touches your heart and then surges through your body and you lay back and think," ah, this is so beautiful!" Not even that is enough so you go and interact here.
David's charm is heart stopping, his music is life changing, and his words are grander then grand. He is everything music should be and
I think he is the best. Every time a guy breaks my heart, I go to David and listen to what he has to say.

I've never been so touched by music the way I am by David Gray. I simply can not get enough of him. His lyrics become gospel and the melodies are nothing short of perfect. He's simply a genius.

I have been listening to David for Just over a year, and I can't get enough of his music. I used to think that White Ladder was the best album, but the more of his older albums of his I bought, the more I realised how great his music was and how lucky I was to have been introduced to him through White Ladder. One of the many things I like about David's music is that it is music- every live performance is different as he adds a little bit of heart felt variation to each song and shows of his great vocal ability. His music fits any occasion and my CD changer is full of his CDs. One thing that attracted me to White Ladder in particular was the
persistence of Babylon in my life. Every monumental incident over the last year has found Babylon on in the background, or someone walking past humming it. True music is hard to come
NY these days with all our plastic pop artists and designer groups, I'm glad true music is surviving, and I am glad it is David Gray. His music means an enormous
amount to me, I love 'im.

I've been a David Gray fan for about 3 years
now, I was introduced by my cousin and the album FLESH and I was hooked. His lyrics and brilliant and delivered with soul and
passion. In my opinion he is one of the greatest lyricists ever and A Century Ends is one of the best albums
ever. I think everyone can relate to his lyrics and he a great respect and relationship with his
fans. I met him last summer and he is also a very pleasant and humble man.
Hopefully he will be giving us albums for years to come.

I just recently brought White ladder. an album
I have wanted to buy for ages. I have been buying music for the best part of twenty years now, and not that often have
I ever brought an album that blows my mind away as this one does. In the past two years myself and my family have been through a lot. my wife has suffered a lot with her health. this amongst other things. Now when
I want to switch of from things when the kids are in bed and I want to relax I pick up my personal compact disc player and put white ladder on. I can tell you
I feel so much better once I have listened to it. It makes me feel as if things are not that bad. Thanks Dave for a great ALBUM keep it
coming.

I came across David a year ago and I only came across his great musical
ability by chance as all the music industry cares about are records and posters that will make a 13 year old girl happy. If people actually took the time to listen to one of the greatest lyricists of all time. He also puts his soul into his songs. He will be around for years to come as finally we can listen to his songs and give him the respect he is due.

I have been listening to
David for nearly a year now and his music is the best I have heard. he has worked hard to be where he is unlike some bands these days and he deserves more recognition.
I hope he will be bringing us his music for many years to come.

The reason I like David Gray's music is because he has such a wonderful knack for coming across with all of his heart. There are many, many great musicians but he is one of the few that can make you feel what he is saying, that is why I believe it is possible to listen to his albums over and over again and not get tired of them. His music makes me want to make music, which not many people do. His music also provided me with something different to listen to in a time of completely stagnant music. I almost wanted to give up on listening to the radio until I heard his music. Nice music isn’t always so easy to find. I hope that he continues music for all of his life. I am sure that since he has gone to such a great distance to get where he's gotten that he will not stop. He must really appreciate music.

I love David Gray's music because it flows with an
eclectic beauty that can completely encompass a mood or situation. I've discovered his music is great for late night driving, watching people pass in airports and generates a calm feeling whenever I listen to it. His music has also brought me together with a
wonderful group of people through his bulletin board, where we discuss our love for his music, and also have become a family in our own way. I suppose on a whole, I love David Gray because his music has the power to bring together the masses with a great sound!

I was introduced to David only one year ago, but it is undeniable that he has changed my life. Situations in my family were becoming pretty unbearable, and then late one night on some lost radio station I heard the song "Shine". I raised my head, and ever since with David's music in my life, I am able to face whatever they put in front of me. Him and his music have changed the very person I am. I just wish he could know how truly grateful I am.

I like David Gray because of his fantastic music, his personality and his respect for his fans. He is a fantastic live performer and always makes a special effort when he is playing live. His lyrics are amazing and, when
I met him during the summer, I realised how down to earth and friendly he is in real life as well as on TV and in interviews. He is multi-talented and shows respect for his fans which makes people appreciate him more. His websites have helped me to make many new friends and its great to be able to discuss his music with other people. He deserves all his success because he had the courage and patience to keep making music even when it seemed like he was being ignored. Good man Dave keep up the good work!

I was introduced to the music of David Gray about 8 or 9 years ago and was
immediately touched by the mans courage to tackle the life long quest of many people in
today's society, 'the uncomfortable state of honesty', whether it be in song, poem, book or
dialogue. Over the years many have tried honesty in these forms, but have failed by
glamorising and weaving in and out the real issue, 'We can be as bad as we can be good'. I'm not saying David Gray is the only one to
succeed, one of many. We're all so busy trying to better ourselves that we forget that there's a
foray of ignoramus gobshites who are hell bent on belittling the message that people like Mr. Gray writes about. These people feed off the intellectual scraps that we throw them. O.K. just wanted to put it out there. Slan, Dave.
